International legal reestructuring of ENEN

The legal transformation of the ENEN has been completed.

The European nuclear Education Network has completed its international legal reestructuring, and all its activities are now performed under the framework of the ENEN AISBL (AISBL = Association internationale sans but lucrative, International Non-Profit Organization), registered at 11 Rue D’Egmont, 1000 Brussels, Belgium (web site at www.enen.eu).

This has been made possible with the unanimous decision of the members during the extraordinary general assemblies of the ENEN Association (F) and ENEN AISBL (B) on September 28, 2018, in Brussels, which followed more than 18 months of the preparatory works by the Secretary General and the Board, supported by the legal teams in France and in Belgium.

In short, the unanimous decisions at the extraordinary general assemblies were:

  • ENEN Association (F):

    • Transfer all activities, assets and liabilities to ENEN AISBL (B).

    • Dissolve ENEN Association (F).

  • ENEN AISBL (B):

    • Accept all activities, assets and liabilities contributed by ENEN (F)

Some residual formalities are now ongoing to implement the above decisions.

Prof. Leon Cizelj, president of ENEN, would like to take this opportunity to thank the members of the Board of Directors and the ENEN members for outstanding efforts to make this demanding transition a success for all of us.

We look forward to working with you, and for you, in the future endeavors of the ENEN AISBL.
